Every year, the PMPA Technical Membership Chairman’s award is given to the outgoing Chairman in gratitude for his or her exceptional leadership and service throughout the year. We are proud to say that this year, CJWinter’s own Liberato Pietrantoni received the award for his work in this role. It was a great year for PMPA and our company, and we’re happy to have worked closely with this organization.
What Is PMPA?
The Precision Machined Products Association (PMPA) was founded in 1933 to represent the interests of the precision-machined products industry around the world. With four types of members, the organization seeks to serve all those who work in and promote the industry, from manufacturers and suppliers to institutions who offer education and training programs. PMPA members specialize in complex parts and assemblies that go on to serve a variety of applications in countless industries—such as CJWinter’s thread rolling attachments.
The precision-machined products industry faces unique challenges, and PMPA seeks to help companies overcome them. The organization serves members by staying up to date on trends, news, innovations, technological advances, and more. With the resources and services available to them, member companies are equipped for success on an international level as they work to secure the future of North American manufacturing.
What Is the Technical Membership Chairman’s Award?
The Technical Membership is one of four memberships within PMPA (along with Active, Associate, and Affiliate Memberships). Technical Members are suppliers: we provide goods and services for the industry.
The Technical Membership Chairman’s Award is presented to the outgoing Chair in acknowledgement of the leadership and service they brought to the organization. This award represents the gratitude and appreciation of all member companies and serves as a thank you for Lib’s service as Technical Member Chair.
In his role as Chair, Lib served on the PMPA Board of Directors and spoke on behalf of the Technical Members at board meetings held throughout the year. He also managed the agenda and directed the discussion on various issues at Technical Members meetings.

We have long valued our membership with PMPA and believe in being active participants in the organization and the work it does. In 2017, we received one of only eight Technical Member Participation Awards in recognition of those contributions. A thriving PMPA is good for the entire industry, and we look forward to continued involvement in the innovation and advancement of precision machined products and North American manufacturing in general.
