The Top Ten Reasons to Choose CJWinter Attachments
- Equalized ROLLING pressure:
Allows thread rolling away from the collet and ensures thread concentricity. Also eliminates side pressure on parts and machine spindles and allows longer length to diameter rolling.
- FAST & EASY SET-UP:
Out of the box and running in under 30 minutes. Includes a video installation guide, manual and phone tech support. Scheduled on-site assistance available.
- PITCH DIAMETER QUICKLY ADJUSTED:
Make adjustments within .0002 inches (.005mm) without stopping.
- PATENTED ROLL COMPENSATOR:
Simplifies roll timing, ensures perfect roll synchronization, eliminates flaking and allows roll timing adjustments in machine without disassembling gears.
- ONE CAM FOR ENTIRE SIZE RANGE:
Save up to $450 for each cam you don't have to keep in stock!
- PENETRATION (ROLL FEED) RATE QUICKLY ADJUSTED:
Adjust feed rate on the fly – no extended downtime.
- CHIP PURGE LINE:
Keeps gear train free of chips – saves money on replacement gears and maintenance.
- QUALITY COMPONENTS:
100% complete interchangeability on replacement parts, no time spent on retrofitting.
- SECONDARY THREADING:
Save the cost of a new machine. Secondary threading turns an inexpensive lathe into an auxiliary thread rolling machine.
- CUSTOMER SERVICE:
We offer on-line support, engineering support and scheduled on-site training.
CJWinter® air-powered attachments are in a class by themselves. They combine simplicity of design, sturdy construction, easy high-precision set-up, and economical operation.
- Winter’s exclusive air powered radial in-feed design virtually eliminates part deflection and associated flaking
- A single cam can be used throughout the entire size range
- Equalizes thread rolling pressure
- Eliminates side pressure
- Adjust pitch diameter, even while the machine is running
Our Pneumatic Attachments are easy to install on most machines with 5 simple operations:
- Insert rolls in attachment and synchronize timing marks
- Install the correct mounting hardware
- Set attachment on slide and line up with thread blank
- Connect the control valve assembly to the attachment and install the tripping valve and bracket
- Dial the correct pitch diameter
Compressed Air Requirement
The CJWinter® line of Pneumatic Attachments require one cubic foot per minute of compressed air at 80 PSI. Threads per inch, length of thread, and material to be rolled are factors to determining air pressure required. In most cases it will not exceed 80 PSI. |
